Mountain Equipment Nova IV Sleeping Bag
The Mountain Equipment Nova IV sleeping bag is a light, spacious and comfortable bag that retains the low weight and compressibility required for backpacking whilst using innovative construction to maximise warmth.
Created to keep you warm whatever the season, when the temperatures drop, the Nova IV features Polarloft insulation. This synthetic insulation will keep you toasty, providing a good night's sleep down to -13°C. Polarloft strikes the perfect balance between warmth, comfort and durability. This synthetically insulated bag will keep you warm even when wet, unlike down, which would lose most of its warmth. The insulation is protected by the Helium 20 outer, a tightly woven 20D Nylon yarn that's soft to the touch and breathable. The bag's inner is made of Supersoft 30, providing superb next-to-skin comfort, durability and breathability, weighing only 49g/m². The sleeping bag uses a keystone Shingle construction, offering a great warmth-to-weight ratio. The baffles run from head to toe in the bag, rather than side to side. Minimising cold spots and offering excellent warmth, the bag has overlapping layers of insulation positioned at right angles, creating excellent loft and comfort. The Nova IV has a Mountain Fit, a semi-tapered mummy shape that is spacious while retaining warmth. The hood and foot-box are both anatomically shaped for comfort and thermal efficiency. Completing this sleeping bag is a full-length zip baffle, an integrated collar with a lode lock closure and a lightweight compression sack for easy storage.
