Our Team
Sam McNeill
I’m a Dartmoor girl who’s spent the last 40 years exploring the hills and mountains of the UK and Europe. In recent years I’ve also been sailing and working in the high Arctic. I’m at my happiest climbing, mountain biking, running and backpacking in wild places - Dartmoor, Scotland, the Alps and the Pyrenees all hold a special place in my heart. I was lucky enough to serve in several mountain rescue teams for 12 years and spent 25 years training young people for the annual Ten Tors expedition here on Dartmoor.
If you’re taking part in Ten Tors or Duke of Edinburgh, climbing Cornish sea cliffs, summiting an Alpine peak, heading to Scotland in the winter or going on a Northern Lights photography trip to Norway I can help you get the right gear for your adventure.

Hal Gamble
Having grown up with Dartmoor on my doorstep, I have hiked, biked and wild camped on much of it, done many miles of Ten Tors training and experienced it’s four seasons in one day! As a photographer, I have experience working in Sub-Saharan Africa, the alpine region’s of North America and the tropics of the Pacific island nations. Furthermore, as an army reservist, I have experience in alpine skiing in temperatures well below zero and arduous off-shore sailing ranging from the the cold, rough conditions of the Labrador Sea to the Caribbean; so I can help you find what you need most for your next adventure! Jim McNeill
I'm so lucky. Despite coming from a council house in London I've managed to explore the world's most extreme environments for nearly 40 years.
Having a deep-seated knowledge of safety protocols and survival in extreme conditions has made me an invaluable resource across industries. I have played a pivotal role in media, consulting on safety, guiding and outfitting for the BBC's acclaimed series like 'Frozen Planet' and 'Human Planet,' as well as many other productions.
My career is a mosaic of leadership and mentorship, where I have been fortunate in guiding teams through Earth's untamed expanses; safely and securely.
Our plans for Global Warrior should not only surpass anything I have achieved to date but be hugely valuable to humanity - my last blast, as it were.
